Jasmine Brimsmayd is an Actress, Writer, Playwright, and Filmmaker. Jasmine has appeared in the short film Frankie, which has gone to fests including Raindance, the Calgary Underground Film Festival, and OUT at the Movies International Film fest. Jasmine holds an MFA in Acting from CalArts, where they performed in productions both theatrical and operatic. She recently performed in the gothic theatrical experience “BARDO” at the United Theatre, ahead of the new Opera “Black Lodge”.
As a filmmaker, Jasmine has worked as a production coordinator for “the A-Z of Aaliyah” and “John Wick 3: Continental Experience”, as well as Assistant Editor and Post Production assistant for multiple docu-series, and Script Supervisor for narrative film. Jasmine’s mission as an artist is a focus on the intersectionality of Queerness and Blackness across multiple genres, and aims to tell stories that have historically not been told.
